lois and frank

lois and frank were our first customers. they did an hour long session with joshua and had a good time despite the crappy surf. tomorrow joshua is going out with miguel to scout other spots and i will do some time at the shop and... i am looking forward to my playdate with corey to try out SUP.

montreal

2 guys walking past the shop today reserved boards for an hour in the morning. they will be our first paying customers and joshua's second ride out. thomas has shared a bunch, to help us run the shop and hope he and his wife come back soon. with their baby, next spring.

day 1 at the shop

we got the keys today and JAH took out the 'herbie fletcher' long board for his first ride. he caught 3 waves and came back smiling while i got the low-down from tomas about the shop over pacificos. after all our wonderings, bus ride and playing, we finally realized we had better eat. 10pm. life is good down south!! we also confirmed our first reservation for a week long rental!!! woo hoo!

new board

i was just told we have a new board to add to our quiver. a 6'2" rusty GTR swallow tail. wow! it looks pretty and will be a GREAT addition to the shop. thanks chris, for the generous gift!! - it is nice to be the queen.

ps the shop's final check is in the mail and the will be 'officially' mine on thursday and we take over on the 30th!! woo hoo!

1 week until LA drive

the time is flying by. i have also been wishing we were already down there. they had huge floods that took out the bridges, damaged homes and made a big mess out of the town. i would have liked to have helped out; cleaning and getting to know my new neighbors. i will be down there soon enough and i am sure there will be some place that i can make my self useful.

leaving oregon

on the 24th of september we leave portland and drive to LA and then on the 29th we fly to puerto vallarta. once there; me, joshua and bodo (the cat) will take a cab to sayulita and meet our new lives and start anew.
